The booking of accommodation is a contract between two parties. Te Tiriti Waitangi will provide the accommodation and services described and agreed.

To make a booking, you must be over the age of 18 years old.

In making a reservation, Te Tiriti Waitangi requires the guest's name, address, contact number landline or mobile and email address.

A valid credit card must be submitted to make all bookings. This credit card will be used via a secure site to debit the total cost of the accommodation confirmed. Once your credit card was processed, we will email your confirmation voucher to you, which MUST BE retained for check-in purposes. We will charge your card in New Zealand dollars. The cost of your booking will convert using our bank’s exchange rates on the day of the transaction.

We will cancel your credit card details on our reservation system three days after check out.

Late cancellations and no-shows affect our business. Therefore our deposit and cancellation policy are as follows:

CANCELLATIONS:

 

More than 14 days’ notice – full refund less $25.00 cancellation fee.

14 days or less notice – loss of first night's deposit. During Peak times 20 Dec - 10 Feb NO REFUNDS PAYABLE

Cancellation can be made direct by calling Te Tiriti Waitangi or by email.

Cancellation Policy as it pertains to individuals:

If you cancel your booking more than 14 days before 4 pm of your expected day of arrival, a cancellation fee of $25.00 will be charged per property affected. The remainder of your deposit will be refunded to you.
If you cancel your booking within the 14 days of your expected day of arrival, No refund is payable but you may alter the dates once within 3 months of original booking.
No refunds will apply if the client does not show up at a property.

Cancellation Policy as it pertains to Group Bookings:

If you cancel your booking more than 30 days before 4 pm of your expected day of arrival, a cancellation fee of $50.00 will be charged. The remainder of your deposit will be paid to you.
If you cancel your booking within the 30-days period of your expected day of arrival and we are unable to let all the rooms booked by you, Te Tiriti Waitangi reserves the right to retain such a portion of your deposit so as to cover half of the expected room cost of the vacant rooms.

• The new stay is to be completed within 12-months of the original bookings departure date
• New stay dates will be subject to the availability of the originally booked property (some flexibility may be required in respect of new date selection)
• Where the originally booked property is not reasonably available for the foreseeable future the credit offer will be extended for use at any of our Waitangi properties
• A seasonal rate increase may apply if dates are moved to a higher rate season
• Any unused portion of the credit is non-refundable
• Standard terms and conditions apply to the new booking
• Facilitation of this credit offer will be provided free of any additional administration fees.

 

CHECK-IN:

 

Te Tiriti Waitangi welcomes your arrival from 2.00 pm. Earlier arrivals will be subject to availability and may incur an extra fee.
Reception is open irregular hours so self check-in details will be sent by SMS on the morning of arrival.

Reception will ask for credit card details if we do not already hold them. Te Tiriti Waitangi reserves the right to charge a credit card at check-in.

If you intend to pay by cash, you will be asked for a $200 bond to be paid on arrival, which will be refunded on departure.

If you are unable to check-in during Reception hours, please telephone 0800 55 6660 to arrange a late check-in or key collection.

Check-out is by 10.00 am on the day of departure or later by prior arrangement (which may incur a fee).

All guests and visitors will be required to show their "My Vaccine Pass" on arrival. We cannot accept purple vaccination cards or vaccination confirmation letters as proof of vaccination status. The "My Vaccine Pass" will be scanned using the "NZ Pass Verifier" app to determine validity.

This decision has been made to protect the health and safety of our guests, visitors, staff and community. Should you decide that you do not wish to comply with this policy, please contact us to cancel your reservation. Our standard cancellation policy will apply.

 

 

CHILD POLICY:

 

Children 2 years of age and under are free of charge when accompanied by a paying adult and using a porta cot, or sharing the same bed as adults. A child rate is applied for children aged up to 13 years of age.

In circumstances where additional beds or bedding are required or used, the extra person rate will apply.

Guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a guest of 18 years or over.

Photo ID may be asked at the time of check-in.

It is the parent’s, guardian’s or team management’s responsibility to supervise the child or children at all times when staying at Te Tiriti Waitangi. We ask that you consider and respect other guests and its neighbours by keeping noise levels to a minimum.

CONCERNS OR COMPLAINTS:

 

Should you experience any difficulties with your accommodation, please contact either our Reception staff or the manager during your stay to register your concern. Every effort will be made to rectify the situation and make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.

DAMAGES:

 

Damage to motel property should be reported immediately to Reception. Any extra cleaning, repairs or replacements required to restore our guest rooms or property to its normal condition will be charged to the registered guest at replacement cost or market rates, plus a charge for any resultant loss of income if applicable.

PEAK PERIODS/MAJOR EVENTS:

 

In peak periods and for major events a minimum night stay and special cancellation conditions may apply.

PETS:

 

With the exception of guide dogs, we do not allow pets in our guest rooms or on the resort property.

A cleaning charge will be incurred for any pet found to have been inside accommodation.

REFUNDS:

 

Refunds will only be made to the credit card or bank account debited for the original transaction.

 

ROOM RATES:

 

All prices are quoted in New Zealand dollars on a per night basis and include Goods &Services Tax (GST) of 15%.

Room rates also include housekeeping services. Throughout the year room rates will vary from low season prices in the middle of winter to peak season prices in the middle of summer or for major event weekends.

Te Tiriti Waitangi’s reservation and online booking systems display our room rates and availability on any particular day. The prices advertised are per room, for the number of people and the date(s) selected unless otherwise specified (packages).

ROOM CONDITION:

 

If your room is left in an unsatisfactory state, this includes, excessive rubbish, misuse of motel property (including Manchester), any unhygienic uncleanliness, soiling, excessive mess or odour in the kitchen, which causes excessive and unwarranted cleaning time by Te Tiriti staff, Te Tiriti Waitangi reserves the right to charge for the cost of extra cleaning, repairs or replacements required to restore our guest rooms or property to its normal condition.

SMOKING:

 

Te Tiriti Waitangi is a SMOKE-FREE complex. Smoking is not permitted/allowed in any of the Te Tiriti Waitangi rooms. Smoking facilities are provided outside each guest room.

Please smoke away from open windows, doors and other guests.

If you do smoke inside our rooms, Te Tiriti reserves the right to charge such costs and any resulting loss of income to the registered guest. The resulting loss of income could be the following guests refusing to stay in that booked room.

Te Tiriti Waitangi Terms & Conditions

VISITORS:

 

Guests visitors are welcome. The registered guest is responsible for the behaviour of all persons/visitors while on the property. Te Tiriti Waitangi asks that you consider and respect other guests and its neighbours by keeping noise levels to a minimum.

All visitors not booked into the motel are expected to leave the premises quietly before 8.00 pm.

Te Tiriti Waitangi does not allow large, noisy gatherings or parties in its guest rooms.

Excessive noise, disturbing other guests, may result in you being requested to vacate Te Tiriti Waitangi.

All deliberate or reckless acts that result in damage to Te Tiriti Waitangi property, that require specialist cleaning or repair will be charged to the registered guest. Children up to 2 years of age stay free.
