The booking of accommodation is a contract between two parties. Te Tiriti Waitangi will provide the accommodation and services described and agreed.
To make a booking, you must be over the age of 18 years old.
In making a reservation, Te Tiriti Waitangi requires the guest's name, address, contact number landline or mobile and email address.
A valid credit card must be submitted to make all bookings. This credit card will be used via a secure site to debit the total cost of the accommodation confirmed. Once your credit card was processed, we will email your confirmation voucher to you, which MUST BE retained for check-in purposes. We will charge your card in New Zealand dollars. The cost of your booking will convert using our bank’s exchange rates on the day of the transaction.
We will cancel your credit card details on our reservation system three days after check out.
Late cancellations and no-shows affect our business. Therefore our deposit and cancellation policy are as follows:
We require a deposit equal to 100% of your total stay that will be charged to your credit card upon making a reservation.
If you would prefer, you can make a deposit or bank transfer directly to our bank account and send us a copy of the deposit slip or transfer receipt within 24 hours of making the reservation. Please inform us directly on info@waitangiholidaypark.co.nz if you wish to proceed with bank transfer so that we can put a note to your booking.
We will automatically cancel any reservation for which we do not receive either a valid credit card or notification of payment within 24 hours.
More than 14 days’ notice – full refund less $25.00 administration fee.
14 days or less notice – loss of deposit.

Te Tiriti Waitangi welcomes your arrival from 2.00 pm. Earlier arrivals will be made by prior arrangement only.
Upon arrival, each guest will be required to sign a Te Tiriti Waitangi Guest Registration from confirming the details are correct and accepting the terms and conditions therein of your stay.
Reception will ask for credit card details if we do not already hold them. Te Tiriti Waitangi reserves the right to charge or pre-authorise a credit card at check-in.
If you intend to pay by cash, you will be asked for a bond to be paid on arrival, which will be refunded on departure.
Reception hours are 8am to 5pm daily.
If you are unable to check-in during Reception hours, please telephone the Resort (09) 4028604 or 0800 55 6660, press 2, to arrange a late check-in or key collection.
Check-out is by 10.00 am on the day of departure or later by prior arrangement.
Children 2 years of age and under are free of charge when accompanied by a paying adult and using a porta cot, or sharing the same bed as adults. A child rate is applied for children aged up to 13 years of age.
In circumstances where additional beds or bedding are required or used, the extra person rate will apply.
Guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a guest of 18 years or over.
Photo ID may be asked at the time of check-in.
It is the parent’s, guardian’s or team management’s responsibility to supervise the child or children at all times when staying at Te Tiriti Waitangi. We ask that you consider and respect other guests and its neighbours by keeping noise levels to a minimum.
Should you experience any difficulties with your accommodation, please contact either our Reception staff or the manager during your stay to register your concern. Every effort will be made to rectify the situation and make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.
Damage to motel property should be reported immediately to Reception. Any extra cleaning, repairs or replacements required to restore our guest rooms or property to its normal condition will be charged to the registered guest at replacement cost or market rates, plus a charge for any resultant loss of income if applicable.
In peak periods and for major events a minimum night stay and special cancellation conditions may apply.
With the exception of guide dogs, we do not allow pets in our guest rooms or on the resort property.
A cleaning charge will be incurred for any pet found to have been inside accommodation.
Refunds will only be made to the credit card debited for the original transaction.
All prices are quoted in New Zealand dollars on a per night basis and include Goods &Services Tax (GST) of 15%.
Room rates also include housekeeping services. Throughout the year room rates will vary from low season prices in the middle of winter to peak season prices in the middle of summer or for major event weekends.
Te Tiriti Waitangi’s reservation and online booking systems display our room rates and availability on any particular day. The prices advertised are per room, for the number of people and the date(s) selected unless otherwise specified (packages).
If your room is left in an unsatisfactory state, this includes, excessive rubbish, misuse of motel property (including Manchester), any unhygienic uncleanliness, soiling, excessive mess or odour in the kitchen, which causes excessive and unwarranted cleaning time by Te Tiriti staff, Te Tiriti Waitangi reserves the right to charge for the cost of extra cleaning, repairs or replacements required to restore our guest rooms or property to its normal condition.
Te Tiriti Waitangi is a SMOKE-FREE complex. Smoking is not permitted/allowed in any of the Te Tiriti Waitangi rooms. Smoking facilities are provided outside each guest room.
Please smoke away from open windows, doors and other guests.
If you do smoke inside our rooms, Te Tiriti reserves the right to charge such costs and any resulting loss of income to the registered guest. The resulting loss of income could be the following guests refusing to stay in that booked room.
Guests visitors are welcome. The registered guest is responsible for the behaviour of all persons/visitors while on the property. Te Tiriti Waitangi asks that you consider and respect other guests and its neighbours by keeping noise levels to a minimum.
All visitors not booked into the motel are expected to leave the premises quietly before 8.00 pm.
Te Tiriti Waitangi does not allow large, noisy gatherings or parties in its guest rooms.
Excessive noise, disturbing other guests, may result in you being requested to vacate Te Tiriti Waitangi.
All deliberate or reckless acts that result in damage to Te Tiriti Waitangi property, that require specialist cleaning or repair will be charged to the registered guest. Children up to 2 years of age stay free.
